Ok, one piece of extra information is needed to know why I didn't get ticketed on Friday. The reason he was going to ticket me was because I didn't have a license plate on the front of my car. Which in New York, is illegal. (And you thought I was speeding - for shame! (ok, I was, but not by much)). By the time he got close enough to realize I did not have New York plates he had already put on his lights and I was pulling over.

Personally, I like my first version of the story better :)
