15. The Demolished Man - Alfred Bester *

Winner of the first Hugo award in 1953. Great murder investigation story (we know who did it, so it isn't a mystery) in a world with espers. For a 50+ year old book, I found it interesting that only the user interface to the computer felt dated - the rest of the story and tech fit well.

I've been meaning to read more Bester. I first read him in an anthology of Cyberpunk stories, where he and some other sci-fi authors were included basically for being cyberpunk before cyberpunk existed. I've meant to read more of him ever since.

That and because they named one of my favorite Babylon 5 villains after him.
