44. I Am Legend - Richard Matheson *

Excellent take on the vampire mythology, and a much better story then the movie of the same name. (The movie is a good zombie action flick, but not much more)

On of my all-time favorites. I feel the same way about the movies (and there have been about three now I think) as I do about Frankenstein movies. Good, bad or ugly, they all seem to miss the point!
