Confusion and a book

Ok, I opened my web browser for a reason, but I can't remember what it was.  None of the stuff lying around the PC is helping me remember, and the cats refuse to speak.  I hate it when that happens...

Since I'm here...  I finished a book right before leaving for Vinland Raids:

17. A Hat Full of Sky - Terry Pratchett [797/1494 53.34%]

Terry Pratchett's third young adult Discworld book is my favorite so far.  I'm a fan of Granny Weatherwax so her appearance here was a big plus.  For some reason, maybe I really got into the story or my defenses were down, but one chapter (#9) really blew me away.  Not what I usually expect from a Pratchett story, but a pleasant surprise.  (Just reread the chapter; same effect - it's an extremely powerful bit of writing).

I was less than extremely happy with the story. Mostly, I liked it, but he came up with a new threat/villian just for this story, and I think its origins are weak, its motivations obscure, and overall it isn't very believable, even in the Discworld, which is saying a lot. I liked all the parts that didn't deal directly with it.
