Just finished adding my Emperor Norton collection to LibraryThing. Next up are probably the rest of the non-fiction books, then I get to tackle the fiction...

No Emperor Norton note for me. The starting price was $100, with an estimate of $200-300 (low due to the condition of the note). I actually left a proxy bid for $260, but when the auction was over, the final price was $2000(!) Can you say a bit out of my range?

Just as I'm trying to figure out how to balance my budget on a variable income, along comes an eBay auction for a Medieval Madness machine currently in Lancaster, PA (!) and one for an Emperor Norton note (the bonds he sold for 50 cents back in 1875). Just evil I say.

Today was pretty nice. I got to sleep in for a while. Got to ignore the Jehovah's Witnesses when they stopped by. Even managed to answer two more comments from that quiz thing before starting my day.

I went down to West Chester to for the Christopher Moore talk and book signing. He was a lot of fun to listen to and I found out that his next book is a sequel to Blood Sucking Fiends and that Emperor Norton will be making a return appearance.

Once I'd made it through the line and gotten my books, I headed over to the Games Keep )

So I got an email this morning to let me know that someone had linked to my Emperor Norton page.

It's a link heavy blurb introducing a Lounge/Americana band called the The Sons of Emperor Norton. So I peruse the links, check out the band, and click on their CD to get more info. This takes me to CDBaby... (uh oh)

Now I just got a CDBaby order in last week, so I thought I'd be should be safe.

No such luck )

While it would be cool, I do not need Emperor Norton's signature.
